Competition for funding of students' participation at Split conference

Up to 5 UG students can take part in ZORH International Conference in Split!

More than 150 scientists and students from all over Europe will gather in Split during the ZORH Conference. Join them from April 9 to 11 2025, during an international event focused on ecology and sustainable production. Thanks to the “SEA-nergy” project, five students from the University of Gdansk whose abstracts are accepted can receive funding to cover their participation costs.

The ZORH programme will cover a wide range of environmental issues and innovative solutions to contemporary ecological challenges. The event will also serve as a platform for exchanging experiences between representatives of academia and business, while promoting action for a cleaner, sustainable future.

Participants can submit their participation in panels with oral or poster presentation. There are 12 thematic categories to choose from, including: marine and ocean pollution, endangered species in protected areas, new technologies in environmental protection or the environmental impact of the Covid-19 crisis.

Conditions for participation

Students whose majors or research interests are related to ecology, social sciences and environmental protection can apply for funding to attend the conference. Those who provide the organisers with a certificate of their studies will be exempted from the registration fee.

In addition, students from the University of Gdansk whose abstracts are accepted by the ZORH scientific committee will be able to apply for full funding of the SEA-nergy project trip. Funding is provided for five students (4 oral presentations, 1 poster presentation).

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 4 March 2025. Submissions should be sent via the form available at: https://zorh.ktf-split.hr/en/applications/

The organisers request that those who need urgent confirmation of the abstract indicate this in their application.

PLEASE NOTE: The call for SEA-nergy funding trips will start after 4 March, once the organisers will have confirmed receipt of abstracts.

About the event

Conference of scientists, professionals and students on the topic of environmental protection in the Republic of Croatia (5th ZORH conference) is a project organized by students of the Faculty of Chemical Technology in Split together with the Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling in Košice, Faculty of Chemistry of University of Gdansk, Student section of Chemical Engineeres and Technologists of Split, and Faculty of Maritime Studies in Kotor.
